Working with clients in the industry since 2001 I have developed a wealth of experience and an in-depth knowledge throughout the financial services sector enhancing my understanding of my client’s specific financial requirements – whether they are personal or corporate – ensuring I provide the best advice for my clients. I am committed to ensuring that my industry knowledge remains relevant and current by placing strong emphasis on my personal development where I am committed to continuing my studies to achieve my Chartered status. This, along with the pride and dedication that I place on developing solid personal relationships with my clients, ensures that am I able to offer a rounded, professional and principled service.
I have been working in the Financial Services industry since 2001 and as a Financial Adviser since 2007. From leaving university I joined the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) as a Customer Services Officer and later a Customer Adviser before leaving to join the Co-operative Insurance Society (CIS) in August 2007 to become a Financial Adviser. On the closure of CIS I moved to Henderson Stone & Co Ltd in November 2011 until receiving an invitation to establish James Currie Financial Solutions Ltd with St. James's Place in August 2014. Outside of my business, I am a keen field hockey player with Kelburne HC and also enjoy Munro bagging and spending time with my family. Charity is important to me where I have participated in events such as 10k races and Tough Mudder in order to raise funds for Erskine Hospital. I am also a member of the local St James's Place Charitable Foundation committee assisting in the raising of funds and assessment of applications to our Charitable Foundation which supports many local charities throughout the country.
